The proposals must be collectively submitted by a candidate, a supervisor (promoter) at Ghent University, and a supervisor at the partner university (South).

You can select any Field of Research unless preferences will be given to the topic related to development.

Exchange programs are not offered at this university. So students can only apply for the degree programs.

Further, female candidates are more likely to get admission. Hence Ghent University supervisor can support a maximum of 2 candidates per call on condition they are both of a different grade.

This scholarship program is for individuals who are at the beginning of their PhD (before the program starts, applicants must have a minimum of 36 months of doctoral research left to complete their PhD).
