Hungary Government Scholarship 2024 Benefits
It provides Scholarships for Undergraduate, Graduate and PhD students.
For Bachelors & Masters students
- Monthly stipend of HUF 43,700 (EUR 103) contribution to the living expenses in Hungary, each year, until the completion of studies
- Covers cost for full tuition fee
- Provides accommodation contribution of HUF 40,000 per month until the completion of 2/4 years of education. However, students who do not live in the dormitory, the HUF 40,000/month is a contribution to that rental costs, and in bigger cities especially in the capital city. Thus it does not cover full amount of rental cost
- Medical insurance for up to HUF 65,000 (153 EUR) per year for each Awardee
For Doctoral students
- Monthly stipend of HUF 140,000 (EUR 331 for the first phase of education (4 semesters) and HUF 180,000 (EUR 425) for the second phase (4 semesters) –annually until completion of degree
- Cover cost for full tuition fee
- Accommodation cost for free dormitory place is HUF 40,000 each month. However, if the students don’t live in the dormitory, then the HUF 40,000/month is a contribution to that rental costs, and in bigger cities this contribution would not cover the full rental cost.
- Provides HUF 65,000 (153 EUR) a year for medical and health care insurance.
Eligibility Criteria
- Students require to have English proficiency Certificates
- High academic records in previous education
- Awards of Excellence and certificates act as plus points for your Selection
- As Hungaricum is a bilateral Scholarship that consider Applications only if the applicant is nominated by the responsible authorities of the Sending Partners.
Application Process
- First Create an online account on the link provided at the end of the page. Then find the available courses of study as they differ for every partner country. Once you find your desire filed then apply through SH website or DreamApply system
- The second step is contacting your home country for the requirements and procedure. Because each country follow a different procedure
Then, visit https://stipendiumhungaricum.hu/apply/ you will find 29 universities and colleges but choose only 2.
- After that, the sending country review your applications and nominate top students to Hungaricum Scholarship
- Your chosen University will then conduct a test in middle of March till May and it is require to score 56/100 points to get selected for the scholarship
- Finally if you pass all the test and interviews then the University sponsor you.
