University of Sydney International Scholarship 2024-25 Benefits
The University of Sydney offers various scholarships including Domestic Student Scholarships, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander scholarships, and International student Scholarships.
The International Postgraduate Scholarship:
- Funds $143,881 to cover the living expenditure of candidates.
- For this academic year 2024, the University provides a cost of $40,109 per annum to assist an awardee with tuition fees and living costs.
- Also, provides reward scholarships for students who perform well in their academics. The Reward awardees get an additional scholarship per semester. So that they would use that amount to fulfil their other expenses.

Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must belong outside Australia. International students are eligible to apply.
- All applicants must possess an outstanding record of academic achievement and research potential.
- It is required to have an unconditional admission offer letter from the University before applying for the Scholarship.
- The awardees are expected to enroll in a full-time postgraduate research degree. Otherwise, a part-time postgraduate student will have tax implications.
- An international student starting their full-time enrolment in a Higher Degree by Research (HDR) at this University. Students will be considered up until they have consumed a maximum of six months course.
- Also, have not previously received an Australian Government or University Scholarship to complete an HDR course at the same level.
- Moreover, candidates need to have highly qualified supervisory arrangements to be eligible for admission and scholarships.
