Heinrich Boll foundation scholarships is founded with the aim of promoting democracy and human rights, preserving Eco-system, maintaining peace through conflict prevention and creating a sustainable economic system where all individuals enjoy basic right. The foundation maintains an International Network of 100 partner projects in over 60 Countries. Moreover, it is having 34 International offices which work on the common sustainability goals and admission processes. Hence supporting talented students from around the globe so in return they would contribute their active roles Socially, Environmentally and Politically.
The Scholarships invites application from all Nationalities despite of ethnic backgrounds and fund about 1500 Undergraduate, Graduate & Doctoral students in pursuing their degree in Germany. The Universities offer courses in Applied Sciences and Arts. However, candidates must be passionate regarding the subjects like ecology and sustainability, democracy and human rights, self-determination and justice.

Heinrich Boll foundation scholarships Benefits
- For Germans/Foreign students educated in Germany and EU nationals/Students not educated in Germany
- Undergraduate and Graduate students get €812 plus €300 book allowance per month till the completion of degree. While Doctoral students are paid €1350 plus €100 each month for research allowance.
- Awardees will get grants for health insurance and medical care services
- It not only covers expenses of Awardee but also provide funding for his/her child if case of Martial status.
- Covers cost for living and accommodation as well.
- For the Non-EU Nationality Students not educated in Germany
- The Undergraduate and Graduate Students get €934 per month to cover their expenses. While PhD Students receive €1,200 each month in addition of €100 mobility allowance.
- The Scholarships will cover Individual allowances
- Additionally, child care expenses will be provided to married students
- Also provide Health insurance and medical services
It is to be noted that the tuition fee will be provided in Certain Universities under Heinrich Boll foundation scholarships for Undergraduate and Master’s Students. But the students of PhD need to pay their half or full tuition fee by their own. However, in extreme cases the University will waiver full tuition fee of PhD students.
