The AU offers both financial need and academic Excellence Scholarships for Students. However, the funding cost varies whether you apply as an Early Decision/Regular Decision freshman or as a transfer student.

Eligibility Criteria of AU Emerging Global Leader Scholarship 2024
The Eligibility Criteria for AU Emerging Global Leader Scholarship is as Follows:
- International students from developing countries who are facing socioeconomic and financial obstacles
- Students need a minimum 3.8 GPA /4.0 GPA (or in the top 10% of the graduating class) for 9th-12th grades.
- Promising students who have the desire to serve their communities in driving positive change after the completion of their degree.
- A minimum 3.8 GPA equivalent out of 4.0 GPA (or in the top 10% of graduating class) for 9th-12th grades.
- High schools Students require to complete their degree before June 2024. Otherwise, they are not eligible
- All candidates must submit the application processing fee of U.S.$4,000
- Students need to have English Proficiency Certificates
- All students must fulfill the following requirements:
- 95+ TOEFL iBT (must be 20 or above)
- Sub-scores of 24+ on the paper-based TOEFL
- 7.0+ IELTS (all sub scores must be 6.0 or above)
- 33 minimum SAT Reading
- 29 minimum ACT English
- 65 minimum PTE
- Cambridge Assessment English score of 185 or higher and each sub-score must be 169 or above.

- Then submit the Bank letter that shows your finances of the U.S. $4,000 admission fee. You can upload this via the Future Eagle Portal or send it by fax to +1-202-885-1025.
- Fill in all the required fields, upload the documents carefully, and submit the application form.
- The selection committee will access your application and if you are eligible then you will be considered for Full Scholarship. But if you didn’t make it you will still get admission to American University/ Washington on a partial scholarship.
- Finally, all finalists and semi-finalists will be called for Zoom interviews by the University.
