DAAD Scholarships 2024 Study For Free In Germany Benefits
- Provides a cost of 934 euros each month
- Covers cost of health, mishaps and personal liability insurance

NOTE
A Master’s degree program in Germany that has already started at the time of application deadline cannot be funded.
Also, the scholarship does not pay for tuition fees rather you have to apply for other scholarships and part-time jobs if you can’t afford to cover tuition expenses by your own.
Under certain circumstances, you can apply for the following additional benefits after the start of funding:
- Monthly rent subsidy
- Monthly allowance for accompanying members of the family.
- In the case of a disability or chronic illness: subsidy for additional costs that might not be covered by the scholarship.
- Pays for climate-friendly travel/ partial reimbursement of carbon offset payments for air travel
To improve your language skills in preparation for your stay in Germany, the DAAD offers the following benefits:
- Payment of course fees for an online language course after receipt of the Scholarship Award Letter
- German language course (2, 4 or 6 months) before the start of the study visit in Germany; the DAAD decides whether to fund participation and duration of the German language skills and project.
- Allowance for a personally chosen German language course during the scholarship period
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

- English and German language proficiency is required for the Candidates. For international programs, the language of instruction is English. So, you need to submit an English language certificate e.g. TOEFL or IELTS.
- For other programs, the language of instruction is German which demands a German language certificate e.g. DSH or TestDaF.
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree at hand. But, if they are having a job experience of at least 2 years there would be higher chances of acceptance.
- All applicants must be promising and deterministic enough to have the will to serve their communities after returning to their home country.

- Then, choose courses of your interest. You can select up to 3 courses.
- Apply for the universities offering these courses.
- Fill in all the required fields, upload documents, and submit the application form. A selection committee suggests potential candidates for a DAAD scholarship.
- After that, the suggested candidates will be informed by DAAD to upload their complete application to the DAAD Portal. (The link to the DAAD Portal will be provided by DAAD through email)
- Finally, the selected candidates will be contacted after viewing their application form.
